1. Alpha Release
PathoWatch is an Alpha-stage research platform from DataPond. The information, predictions, and visualizations on this site are intended for water quality professionals, researchers, and decision-makers as a decision-support reference. PathoWatch is not a substitute for laboratory testing and is not intended for public health advisories or recreational safety decisions.
2. Data Sources
PathoWatch aggregates publicly available environmental data from the following sources, none of which contain personal information:
- EPA Water Quality Portal (waterqualitydata.us)
- NASA satellite imagery and climate data
- USGS Water Services
- Open-Meteo and other open weather APIs
3. Information We Collect
The site is a static demonstration. We do not collect personal information, run user accounts, or store form submissions. The platform uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights for aggregated, privacy-respecting traffic measurement (page views, country-level location, browser type, and Web Vitals). Vercel processes this data on our behalf without using cookies and without collecting personally identifiable information. See Vercel Analytics privacy.
4. Cookies
PathoWatch does not set any first-party cookies. No tracking cookies are used and no consent banner is required under current EU and California guidance for the analytics tooling described above.
5. Data Licensing & Use
The static datasets served from this site are derived from public sources and processed using DataPond's proprietary methods. These datasets are made available for visual exploration on the PathoWatch site only. Bulk download, scraping, redistribution, or commercial reuse of the processed datasets requires written permission. Contact us at the address below to discuss licensing.
6. No Warranty
All information on this site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. DataPond and its contributors disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site or its data.
